Shopify Pricing in Pakistan (2026): Every Plan in PKR, and What You’ll Really Pay

Short answer: Shopify pricing in Pakistan starts at US$22 a month for the Basic plan when you pay yearly (about PKR 6,100 a month), or US$25 month to month (about PKR 6,900). Grow is US$58 and Advanced US$359 a month on yearly billing, and Shopify Plus starts at US$2,300. On top of the plan you pay for a domain, any paid apps or theme, and a third-party transaction fee on card and wallet payments, because Shopify Payments isn’t available in Pakistan. Cash on delivery orders don’t pay that fee.

We build stores on our Shopify development services every month, so this guide shows the Shopify pricing our Pakistani clients actually pay: the plan, the extras, the fees and how to choose. Prices are from Shopify’s Pakistan pricing page on 6 November 2026, converted at about PKR 277 to the US dollar.

Chapter 01

Shopify Pricing Plans at a Glance (US$ and PKR)

Shopify bills in US dollars. Here are all the Shopify pricing plans, with an approximate rupee amount so you can budget:

New stores can start with a free trial: on the Pakistan pricing page Shopify offers 3 days free, then US$1 a month (about PKR 280) for the first 3 months on a starter offer. After that, the normal plan price applies. Offers change often, so check the pricing page on the day you sign up.

Pro tip: rupee amounts move with the exchange rate, and your bank may add a currency conversion charge and taxes on international card payments. Budget 5–10% above the converted figure, and check your card statement after the first bill.

Chapter 02

What Each Plan Includes

All Shopify plans include hosting, an SSL certificate, unlimited products, a checkout, abandoned cart emails, discount codes and the Shopify admin and mobile app. The higher plans add:

  • Basic: everything a new store needs, with one owner account and limited staff access.
  • Grow: up to 5 staff accounts, more reports, and a lower third-party transaction fee.
  • Advanced: up to 15 staff accounts, custom reports, more markets and the lowest third-party transaction fee on the standard plans.
  • Plus: a customisable checkout, wholesale/B2B, automation and priority support, for large brands.

For most Pakistani stores, Basic is enough for the first year. The main reasons to upgrade are staff accounts (a team that packs, confirms orders and answers customers) and, once you have a lot of card payments, the lower transaction fee.

Chapter 03

Third-Party Transaction Fees: The Cost Most People Miss

Shopify Payments, Shopify’s own card processor, isn’t available to Pakistani stores. So if you accept cards or wallets online, you use a third-party gateway such as PayFast or Safepay, and Shopify charges an extra fee on each of those payments:

PlanShopify’s third-party transaction feeOn PKR 100,000 of online payments
Basic2%PKR 2,000
Grow1%PKR 1,000
Advanced0.6%PKR 600

This is on top of the gateway’s own fee. Two things keep it manageable:

  • Cash on delivery is free of this fee. COD is a manual payment method, and Shopify doesn’t charge the third-party fee on manual payments. Most Pakistani stores still take most orders on COD.
  • The fee only applies to online payments. If 20% of your orders are paid by card, only that 20% is affected.

Our payment gateway in Pakistan guide compares the gateways that work with Shopify, with their documents and settlement times.

Chapter 04

When Upgrading from Basic to Grow Pays for Itself

Grow costs US$36 a month more than Basic on yearly billing, and it cuts the third-party fee from 2% to 1%. So it pays for itself, on fees alone, once your online card and wallet payments reach about US$3,600 a month (≈ PKR 997,200).

Below that, stay on Basic unless you need the staff accounts. Moving from Grow to Advanced only pays for itself on fees at very high online sales (well over PKR 20,775,000 a month), so most Pakistani stores never need it.

Chapter 05

The Full Shopify Store Price: Everything Beyond the Plan

When people ask about the Shopify store price, the plan is only part of the answer. Here’s everything a Pakistani store usually pays for:

CostHow it’s chargedTypical for a Pakistani store
Shopify planMonthly or yearly, in US$Basic for the first year
DomainYearlyA .com or .pk domain, bought through Shopify or a registrar
ThemeFree, or a one-time payment for a paid themeMany stores start on a free theme such as Dawn
AppsMostly monthly, in US$Keep to essentials: reviews, WhatsApp, courier, COD confirmation
Payment gatewayPer transaction, set by the gatewayOnly on card and wallet payments
Shopify third-party fee2% / 1% / 0.6% by planOnly on card and wallet payments
CourierPer parcel, plus COD chargesAgreed with your courier

Apps are where costs creep up. A store with ten apps at US$10–20 each can pay more for apps than for the plan. Review your apps every few months and remove the ones you don’t use. Couriers are the other big running cost; our guide to the best courier service in Pakistan shows how to compare them.

Chapter 06

Yearly or Monthly Billing?

Paying yearly saves money: US$36 a year on Basic, US$84 on Grow and US$480 on Advanced, compared with paying monthly. But you pay twelve months upfront, in dollars, in one card payment.

Our advice: pay monthly for the first two or three months while you test the market. Once the store is selling steadily, switch to yearly billing. You can change the billing cycle from Settings > Plan at any time.

Chapter 07

How to Pay Shopify from Pakistan

Shopify charges your plan, apps and fees to one card each billing cycle. From Pakistan, you need:

  • A debit or credit card with international payments turned on. Many Pakistani banks block online foreign-currency payments by default; enable them in your banking app or by calling the bank.
  • Enough balance in rupees for the converted amount plus any bank charges.
  • A backup card, because a failed payment can freeze your store until the bill is paid.

If your card keeps getting declined, try another bank’s card. Some banks also issue dollar-denominated cards that avoid repeated conversion. Our guide is Shopify available in Pakistan covers payments, couriers and the setup in more detail.

Chapter 08

Shopify Pricing Examples: Three Sample Store Budgets

To make Shopify pricing concrete, here are three sample monthly budgets. They are worked examples, not client figures, and they leave out courier charges, which depend on your parcels:

Sample storePlanAppsOnline paymentsShopify feeMonthly total (approx.)
New clothing store, almost all CODBasic yearly: US$22US$10US$200US$4 (2%)US$36 (≈ PKR 10,000)
Growing store, 3 staff, 25% card paymentsGrow yearly: US$58US$30US$2,000US$20 (1%)US$108 (≈ PKR 29,900)
Busy store, heavy card paymentsGrow yearly: US$58US$50US$6,000US$60 (1%)US$168 (≈ PKR 46,500)

Two things stand out. First, apps can cost as much as the plan, so they deserve the same attention as the Shopify pricing plans themselves. Second, the third-party fee only becomes a big number once a lot of your sales are paid online. A COD-heavy store pays almost nothing in fees.

Add your own numbers to the same columns and you have a realistic Shopify store price for your business, not just the headline plan price.

Chapter 09

Common Shopify Pricing Mistakes to Avoid

  • Comparing only the plan price. Shopify plans and pricing pages show the subscription, but apps, a paid theme, the domain and fees all add to the bill.
  • Upgrading too early. Grow and Advanced only save money at higher online sales. Use the break-even figure above before you switch.
  • Paying yearly before the store sells. The yearly saving is real, but test demand on monthly billing first.
  • Forgetting bank charges. Your card statement, not the Shopify pricing page, shows what you really paid in rupees.
  • Reading about Shopify Plus pricing too soon. Plus is for very large brands; it’s not the next step after Basic for a normal store.

Check your bill in the Shopify admin under Settings > Billing every month. It lists the plan, each app and every transaction fee, so you can see exactly where your money goes.

Chapter 10

Which Shopify Plan Should a Pakistani Store Choose?

If your store…ChooseWhy
Is new, or sells mostly on CODBasicLowest price; the third-party fee barely matters on COD
Has 2–5 people handling ordersGrowStaff accounts for everyone
Takes about US$3,600+ a month in card/wallet paymentsGrowThe lower fee covers the higher plan
Takes very high online payments, or sells in many countriesAdvancedLowest standard fee, more markets and reports
Is a large brand needing B2B or custom checkoutPlusBuilt for complex businesses

Start on Basic, track your online payment share and team size, and upgrade when the numbers tell you to. Downgrading is possible too, so you’re never locked in.

Chapter 11

Shopify Plans and Pricing vs WooCommerce

If the monthly dollar bill is the problem, WooCommerce on WordPress is the main alternative. The plugin is free, there’s no platform transaction fee, and most costs (hosting, domain, extensions) are yearly and often in rupees. The trade-off is that you look after updates and hosting yourself, or pay someone to.

We build both, and we compare Shopify plans and pricing with WooCommerce’s costs honestly in our WooCommerce vs Shopify guide. For a full store budget, see our website development prices.

Chapter 12

What About Shopify Plus Pricing?

Shopify Plus pricing starts at US$2,300 a month (about PKR 637,100) on a one- or three-year term. It adds a fully customisable checkout, wholesale/B2B, automation tools, more staff accounts and priority support.

For a Pakistani brand, Plus only makes sense at a very large scale or with complex needs such as B2B ordering for distributors. Almost every store we work with is well served by Basic or Grow.

Chapter 13

How We Keep Shopify Costs Down for Our Clients

Website Services Pakistan (WSP) has built 450+ websites since 2014 from Tariq Road, Karachi. When we build a Shopify store, we:

  • Start you on the right plan, usually Basic, and tell you when an upgrade will pay for itself.
  • Use a fast free or paid theme customised for your brand, instead of stacking apps.
  • Set up COD, order confirmation, a payment gateway and your courier, and test real orders.
  • Keep the app list short, so your monthly bill stays predictable.

A Shopify store with us costs PKR 40,000–140,000, depending on your requirements, paid once, with no advance payment: you pay when the store is finished. If you’d rather do it yourself, our step-by-step guide on how to create a Shopify store walks you through it.
